For neurological disorders ranging from dementia and chronic pain to traumatic and inflammatory joint disease, NEURO-MSK clinic will address all current understanding of each diagnosis uniquely.
Experts in their respective fields will interpret these findings and offer on-site intervention when available. Comprehensive spine and joint assessments including anatomical evaluation with Cartograms (joint cartilage measurements) and other advanced protocols will help assess traumatic injury or simply provide athletes with data for future reference and sequential follow-up. Functional MRI (fMRI) will be brought to light in a private clinic setting. Currently restricted mostly to academic settings, fMRI has become a resource to evaluate psychiatric illness including autism and schizophrenia. The Q Institute will help bring these “cutting edge” findings to use within the community. Using the most recent evidence, guidance will be given to patients looking for management beyond what is known in the Diagnostics and Statistics Manual (DSM-V) for psychiatric illness. fMRI and “neural tractography” are also new techniques in patients planning for brain surgery as the anatomic detail allows for the preservation of the more healthy tissue.
